Meet Dr. Gambacorta 
Dr. Emanuel Gambacorta was born in Buffalo, New York. He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo for his undergraduate education; following his graduation he attended Roswell Park Memorial Institute, a division of SUNY at Buffalo for his Master’s Degree. In 1984 he attended Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
In 1984 Dr. Gambacorta entered into a private practice with his primary focus on General Dentistry. He became a partner in 1991 and then acquired the practice in 1996 which became Dr. Gambacorta and Dental Associates.
Dr. Gambacorta has been married to his wife, Rosemary for twenty six years, and they have two children Jonathan and Nicole. His interests outside of dentistry include boating, fishing and hockey. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and these activities. He is a member of the Buffalo Yacht Club where he presently serves as Vice Commodore. He also serves as the Chairmen of the Cheektowaga Senior Citizens Foundation.
Dr. Gambacorta’s professional affiliations include: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Eighth District Dental Society, and Erie County Dental Society. He is also past president of the Fonzi Dental Study Club.
Meet Dr. Lisa Burnett – Pediatrics
My name is Dr. Lisa Burnett. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. I am a board certified General Dentist who received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Canisius College and my Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tuft University in 2000. I did my general residency at Millard Fillmore Gate Circle in Buffalo, New York. I joined Dr. Gambacorta’s practice in October of 2005. I am a member of the New York State Dental Association. I also belong to the local Eighth District Dental Society.
I have devoted my professional career to providing outstanding care to my patients. I continue to further my education by keeping abreast of the latest trends in dentistry and attending seminars to meet state requirements. I enjoy going to work, interacting with my patients and putting a smile on their face.
I have been very privileged to get the opportunity to work with all the pediatric patients at Dr. Gambacorta and Associates. My goal is to make your child’s visit a wonderful experience. With regards to my personal life, I have been happily married to my husband, Al, for eight years. We enjoy spending time with our two boys, Anthony and Andrew, family and friends. My hobbies include travel, music and movies.
Meet Dr. Paul R. DiBendetto
Dr. Paul R. DiBenedetto, a native of Rochester, New York, graduated from Niagara University in 1974. He then received his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1979.
Professionally he is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Eighth District Dental Society, Erie County Dental Society, the University at Buffalo Dental Alumni Association and the Fonzi Dental Study Club. He has served on the Board of the UB Dental Alumni Association since 1990, acting as President in 1998 and 1999. He is also a past president of the Fonzi Dental Study Club and past Board member of the Eighth District Dental Society Service Corporation.
He has participated in numerous continuing education courses, two of the most recent being training courses in dental laser treatment and CEREC 3D CAD/CAM techniques.
Dr. DiBenedetto has been Co-Chairman of the Buffalo Niagara Dental Meeting, one of the largest dental conventions in the United States, since 1991. This event is held in downtown Buffalo every year, and brings in nationally renowned lecturers and exhibitors to serve the dental industry.
He was in private practice in Cheektowaga from 1981 until merging his practice with Lancaster Dental Associates in 2004.
Dr. DiBenedetto resides in East Amherst with his wife Kathy and three children, Sara, Tessa and Scott.
Meet Dr. Gideon Fersztman – Orthodontics
Dr. Gideon Fersztman is originally from Los Angeles, California. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1998. Dr. Fersztman received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2002 from the UCLA School of Dentistry and his Orthodontics Specialty Certification from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2005.
Dr. Fersztman joined Dr. Gambacorta’s practice in 2005. He practices exclusively in Buffalo, New York and focuses on Orthodontic Treatment of Children and Adults. Dr. Fersztman continues to take advanced training in various aspects of Orthodontics which includes: Invisalign, Growth and Development, Straightwire, Bioprogressive and Segmental Mechanics.
Dr. Fersztman also is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Erie County Dental Society and Eighth District Dental Society.
Meet Dr. Mark Wierzba
Dr. Mark Wierzba is a Buffalo native. He graduated Bishop Timon High School in 1977. He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo earning a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry in 1981 and a PhD in Medical Chemistry in 1986. After working 10 years as a Pharmaceutical Chemist, Dr. Wierzba entered Dental School at the University of Buffalo, graduating in 2000. Dr. Wierzba has been with Dr. Gambacorta’s practice since January 2001. He is a member of The American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Wierzba resides in Sloan, New York with his wife and three children. He enjoys gardening, skiing and Scuba diving.
